theres a mermaid doll in the shower
it's not mine it belongs to my roommate
but i hate dolls
because when i was a kid
my parents had this sculpture of jesus' face
and when i passed it i'd get scared
because he was making a weird face
like he was dying
or looking over his shoulder
or at an olive garden making weird faces
and ever since then i don't like things with eyes
i told you that i wanted to take it down
you said no because it is cute
then today while i was showering i swore it winked at me
i kept looking up at it
and it kept winking
but i think maybe it was just water falling into my eye
and was changing how i saw things
because that has been happening always
